Welcome to SR Sensory Gym

We see different abilities.

SR Sensory Gym is a safe, inclusive, and engaging sensory-based play space designed for both neurotypical and neurodivergent children. We provide an environment where children of all abilities can explore, learn, and grow through purposeful play.

Our gym supports children with sensory processing needs, those on the autism spectrum, and children who simply benefit from movement-based and interactive play. We offer structured and open-play experiences that promote sensory regulation, motor development, social interaction, confidence building, and peer connection.

From climbing structures and crash pads to calming sensory areas and interactive activities, every part of our space is thoughtfully designed to encourage development in a fun, supportive, and judgment-free setting.

At SR Sensory Gym, we believe inclusion matters. Every child deserves a place where they feel understood, empowered, and celebrated. We are more than a gym - we are a welcoming community space where all children can thrive together.

More than a gym

SR Sensory Gym is a welcoming community space where children of all abilities can explore, learn, and grow together. Our gym supports children with sensory processing needs, those on the autism spectrum, and children who benefit from movement-based and interactive play.

Sensory regulation Movement and calming spaces help children engage with new stimuli in a supportive environment.
Motor development Climbing, swinging, and active play give children room to move with purpose and build confidence.
Peer connection Structured and open-play experiences support social interaction in an inclusive setting.

Our mission

We exist to create a balance between neurotypical and neurodivergent children. It is our commitment and passion to provide a safe environment where all children can thrive and flourish.

Inclusion matters Every child deserves a place where they feel empowered and celebrated.
Community matters Families deserve a supportive space built around dignity, service, and connection.
Growth matters Purposeful play can support independence, resilience, and confidence over time.
Our foundation

Built from friendship, education, and a shared vision.

Strength and Resilience began with two Thomas Jefferson University students who became friends in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program and graduated in 2021.

Our story

Together, the founders envisioned a children's lounge dedicated to helping all children. That idea became a sensory-based community space where neurotypical and neurodivergent children can build independence, confidence, connection, and resilience.

Vision Continue learning, growing, and using ethical practices to provide families with thoughtful, supportive experiences.
Purpose Create a safe environment where children of different abilities can thrive and flourish together.

Our core values

Service & collaboration Families, staff, and community partners work together around the needs of children.
Integrity & dignity Every child and family deserves respect, honesty, and a judgment-free experience.
Diversity, equality & growth Different perspectives and abilities strengthen the community and help everyone grow.
